All precious metal jewellery we sell is hallmarked according to law and comes with the proper documents.

1. Precious metal hallmarking

Under Government Emergency Ordinance (OUG) no. 190/2000 on the regime of precious metals and precious stones in Romania, gold and silver items may only be sold if they bear the hallmark applied by the competent authority (currently ANPC, through its precious metals department) or a recognised hallmark, together with the maker’s or importer’s mark.

  • 14K gold , fineness 585 (58.5% pure gold);
  • 18K gold , fineness 750;
  • Silver , fineness 925 (sterling silver), where applicable.

The product label or document states the metal, fineness and weight.

2. Warranty certificate and documents

On purchase you receive the fiscal receipt and a warranty certificate describing the product (metal, fineness, weight, stones). Diamonds accompanied by a gemmological certificate issued by an independent laboratory are handed over together with the jewellery; the characteristics of uncertified stones are described in good faith, based on the supplier’s information.

3. Legal guarantee of conformity

For products purchased on or after 28 May 2022, OUG no. 140/2021applies: the seller is liable for any lack of conformity that exists at delivery and becomes apparent within 2 years. The consumer may request that the product be brought into conformity (repair or replacement), a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract, under the conditions of the law. For products purchased before that date, Law no. 449/2003 applies.

4. Commercial warranty

In addition, we offer a commercial warranty for workmanship defects (e.g. soldering, clasps, settings) for the period stated in the warranty certificate [period to be completed]. This does not affect the consumer’s statutory rights.

5. What the warranty does not cover

Normal wear, deformation, scratches, breakage or loss of stones resulting from impact, improper use, contact with chemicals, and work carried out by unauthorised third parties.

6. How to claim under warranty

Bring the jewellery to our boutique (Strada Aurel Vlaicu I3, Arad 310141) together with the proof of purchase and warranty certificate, or contact us at 0751 059 740. Repairs are carried out within a reasonable time, usually no more than 15 calendar days from the date we were informed (art. 11 OUG 140/2021).
