Jewellery Care
A few simple habits keep your jewellery shining for years.
1. Everyday wear
- Put your jewellery on after applying creams, perfume and hairspray.
- Take it off for sport, in the shower, at the pool (chlorine damages gold and silver), at the beach and when using detergents.
- Avoid knocks: even diamonds can chip under a strong impact.
2. Cleaning at home
Gold: lukewarm water with a few drops of mild soap, a soft brush, then rinse and dry with a microfibre cloth. Silver: a dedicated silver polishing cloth; avoid abrasive pastes. Porous stones (pearls, opal, turquoise, emerald): only a slightly damp cloth, no soaking and no ultrasonic cleaning.
3. Storage
Keep each piece separately in its box or pouch to avoid scratches and tangled chains. For silver, a dry environment and an anti-tarnish pouch slow down darkening.
4. Professional check
We recommend a yearly check in our boutique: professional cleaning, polishing and inspection of settings and clasps. For details, call 0751 059 740.
